By default, the replies and forwards will inherit the theme of original emails. However, if we configure to attach the original email in the replies or forwards, the theme or stationery set for new emails will also be applied to the relies or forwards.
First of all, follow the steps introduced in this article to set the custom theme or stationery for the new email.
Then configure to attach original message when relying or forwarding a message.

Thank you. It worked for me. I suggest maybe add to your article the information about amending the HTML script to delete the two blank lines at the top. I might have missed that and carried on being annoyed with it if I had not looked at the comments.

It just doesn't work. I open a new email, set it to my custom template with my institution's fonts and colors that I've created, and follow your steps for saving the stationary and changing the default. But when I open a new email, it still defaults to the first office theme. Further, it disables all my styles. I'm running Outlook Enterprise 2016 on Windows 10.

But the new message will have 2 line spacing from the header. Everytime need to delete the spacing before composing. How to remove the spacing?

      Hi DK,
Thank you for your comment. To remove the two blank lines permanently from the statinery, please do as follows:
      1. Please open the folder containing the stationery file with the address of %appdata%microsoftstationery
      2. Right-click the stationery file, and open it with Notepad.
      3. In the Notepad, please find the code of the two blank lines (paragraphs), remove them, save, and close.

Does anyone know of a source of free (or not expensive) stationery for Mail, that works in Lion? (I don't want to risk upsetting things, I have enough glitches in Lion to satisfy me for a lifetime!)

The site:

gives instructions to edit or create Mail stationery as follows:

New

'Navigate to the root level of your Macintosh hard drive and go to: Library/Application Support/Apple/Mail/Stationery/ Apple/Contents/Resources'

but my Lion (7.1) does not have a subfolder 'Apple' in 'Application Support', nor can I find a folder 'Stationery'.

Yahoo Mail Stationery

It would be nice if I could find a way to create my own stationery. Any ideas?
