Does anyone knowwhere I can find the drivers for the Samsung HSDPA modem.
The two models that have this type of modem are the HAZ1UK and the HAV1UK, I cannot find the drivers on the Samsung website, if anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful, thanks.
shellewell90 – Can I ask why you need just the driver only?
I downloaded the latest [url=http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/download/supportDownDetail.do?group=&type=&subtype=&model_nm=NP-NC10&disp_nm=NP-NC10&language=&cate_type=all&mType=SW&dType=D&vType=&cttID=2302041&prd_ia_cd=05012400&model_cd=&menu=download&menu2=detail
]Samsung Connection Manager[/url] software and when installed it re-flashed the hsdpa card with upgraded firmware although I didn’t notice it updating the driver but it may have done.
This is what I have on my machine
S/W Version Y3100XXIC2
H/W Version MP 0.300
CM Version v1.6.8.0130
The card model is GT-Y3100
FTA SW Version Y3100.006
FTA HW Version Rev 0.1
The driver version installed is 220.127.116.11
BTW if you are getting 6.37 Mb/s through the mobile connection then you are doing very well but the upload speed seems low to me 🙂
Hope this helps
[quote1254600817=shellewell90]I don’t actually use Samsung Connection Manager. I use Vodafone Mobile Connect, I went to uninstall SCM because I had no use for it and I uninstalled the drivers for the modem by accident. [/quote1254600817]
I gave the driver and card firmware versions so you could compare with those on your machine so I hope it helped in that respect.
You can download driver 18.104.22.168 by installing DriverMaxP.S The 6.37 Mb/s download is on my home internet. My Mobile Broadband speed is around 3 Mb/s
That threw me entirely as I assumed the speed test results contained in your post were from the mobile connection as this was the subject of your original post. 😕
I have the same problem, and I just phoned samsung support and they said there will be no windows 7 driver support for the HSPA modem used to connect to the vodefone network in the UK until at least January, if ever, as “samsung have not got there act together” about what uk laptops they will support with windows 7… yes, thats what the rep said!!!
Where should we go from here??!!?!?!??!?!?!?!?! I’m not happy!
oh, and driver max was no help, offered updated for everything apart from the modem :S
check out my last topic posted for this… you will find that the SCM does carry in it the driver software, which auto installs at the end of installing the samsung connection manager!!

Does that mean you are up and running ok then?
On a seperate note with regards to Samsung Netbooks. I just bought a Samsung N220 plus -JP02UK Netbook. This was sold to me by Dixons at Stansted Airpport on the understanding that it had 3G connectivity via an intergrated sim card slot in the battery compartment. Needless to say the slot is there, but no reader attached to the motherboard.
Upon returning from my break & contacting the seller, I was instructed to return the item to Currys or PC World for an exchange.
Currys couldn’t exchange it as all of it’s N220’s have the same issue (Sim card slot but no reader). Upon contacting Samsung customer support they wisely advised me that, “as their website says, it’s a “*Factory Option” ” an option that it appears the buyers for PC World, Currys & Dixons (they are all part of the same retailer) did not opt for. Samsung said the only other two UK suppliers are Vodafone & Tesco’s. Same problem there!!!
PC Advisor have reviewed the item saying “The N220’s best feature is the built-in 3G wireless broadband, with a SIM card slot located under the battery. The netbook’s 3G module is unlocked, meaning you can use your own SIM card if you wish.” So you must be able to get one.
All I want is a capable 250GB Hard Drive, 1Gb RAM Netbook with WiFi & HSDPA or any sort of sim reader so I can connect via 3G. Please can someone tell me where I can find one!!!!!
This score handily exceeded the netbook category average of 1,421, and even bested the Samsung NC10 and N110. Although it was lower than the scores of the Eee PC 1000HE (1,588), HP Mini 110 (1,587. Installing software on a netbook is tricky, as there is no CD/DVD-ROM drive on it. One could buy a usb-attached CD/DVD-ROM for it. It is also possible to do it with usb thumb drive and usb disk drive. I have Western Digital’s usb disk drive, and that was what I used to install Windows 7 on a Samsung N120 netbook. From what I can tell, it really does not make a difference which type of usb devices you use. I tried to use a SD card, as I have an adapter that can connect the SD card to the computer through a usb port, but that didn’t work, since the it is not recognized as a disk drive.
Initially I tried to properly format the usb disk drive with diskpart utility, but that didn’t work because the diskpart in Windows XP does not have the format command, unlike that of Vista and Windows 7. I tried that anyway, but got messages like “NTLDR Is Missing” or “Operating System Not Present” when trying to boot.
Samsung N120 Netbook Drivers Windows 10
Finally I followed instructions here. It went farther than before, but I constantly got the acpi.sys blue screen of death error.
The way to get around that is to disable Processor Power Management in the BIOS. After that, installation proceeded without errors, but it took a long time. I don’t know how long, because after babysitting it for a while, I went to bed and came back to it the next morning.
Samsung N120 Netbook Drivers Win 7
Based on my limited experience, Windows 7 RC on this netbook is a disappointment. I installed Enterprise Edition, but it was very unstable: wireless connection was flaky, even a simple task of switching windows would take a long time, etc.. For now, I am using factory default, sans anti-virus software, Windows XP Home Edition, and it has been pretty snappy so far. Granted, Windows 7 is beta software, so hopefully the final release will work better, with proper drivers and such.
